i am a little confused about dieting and have a friend who seems a little knowlegable on the topic. is he guiding me in the right direction or on a path of destruction. here is my typical day:

530 1-2 packs inst. oatmeal & 2 six star rapid lean
730 12 oz. whey shake w/water % 250 mg cafeine
1000 20 oz water
1200 salad w/ meat on top(chicken, steak, tuna or fresh fish on foreman grill) 1 six star rapid lean
200 12 oz whey shake & 250 mg. cafiene
330 double dose of pre-work out drink
430 30 min cardio and train 1 body part
600 same as 1200 & 2 six star rapid lean
800 whey shake, stretch , shower and get ready for bed

Having just completed my transformation challenge I can confirm how important water is! I usually opened a 16oz bottle for each meal and drank it by the time I had my next meal, a few hours later. I think it really made a difference.

I might suggest instead of the instant oatmeal packs to go with maybe the quickcook? I usually will make a 1/2-1 cup of that with a 1/2-1 cup fat free milk and add a little bit of sugar-free syrup for flavor. You'll drop quite a bit of 'sugar' that way and still have all the benefits from eating oatmeal in the morning and I nuke it for 1:30mins which can't be much longer than instant anyways Smile Although I am anxious to try the eggs & oats recipe listed here on the forum too, being that I also eat hardboiled eggs in the morning anyways... well 5-10 egg-whites.. ditch the yolks.

It looks as if you're missing an after-workout treat? Some kind of amino/protein/glycogen loading meal, drink or whatever...?

I'm sure others that make a living from suggesting mealplans will offer more or better advise though, but I'm wondering if you're actually eating enough?

Look forward to watching the thread and I hope you find something that works for you!

In my opinion going from 7:30 to 12:00 without eating is a little long...
No veggies in there. Gotta have some.
Do you know what your total cals are? Since I don't know what the supps have in them for cals I was just wondering what your totals are...

That's awesome!

Are you keeping track of your bodyfat percentages? I've learned that tracking that will make such a huge difference when you're looking at your gains and losses!

I was very overweight before I started working out again, although I didn't really have issues with the wieght itself, but the fat had to go! By tracking body fat I was able to see that my 15 pound scale weight loss actually equaled nearly 50 pounds of fat loss while adding nearly 35 pounds of muscle back onto my frame. BIG difference I think and getting a pair of calipers is something I often suggest others trying to lose weight. Especially if they work out Smile

Was just a thought, that you might be interested in...

Keep up the progress though and look forward to keeping up with it!

Heya Big Chucky!

Been a while now... thought I'd come back to see how your progress is coming along?

I've been pretty stagnant with my gains/losses lately but I'm mostly trying various changes to my diet and seeing how it effects me.

congrats on ur weightloss so far....

i agree that goin from 7 till around 12 without eating is a little extreme! I'd suggest getting more meat and veggies into ur foods too...

for ur instant oatmeal is it flavored?

if so I'd get rid of that because thats too much carbs...I'd reccomend mixing 10-grain whole wheat oatmeal (1cup) with 1/4cup of dry ezikehel.

I like to mix some protein powder into my oatmeal too....just to get that extra protein source in the morning...however not too many ppl i have talked to like it...i think its bomb though...

again, depending on ur goal, not sure if its weightloss or what not, but carb cycling is the way to go in my oppinion.
