| Hey All.I was just wondering if anyone has experienced random swelling of the feet and ankles.I am very sodium sensetive so I try to eat as sodium free as possible so I know it's not that.It seems to only be in my right foot and ankle. No pain.Just swelling off and on.Any ideas?? Thanks!! |

| Thanks alot for the link.I am honestly not too worried but it's been a long time since I've had this happen.Could be alot to do with me sitting at the computer screen so long.I also live in a very hot humid climate so it could also be that as well.Any ho...thanks again for the input.Going to cut out all the extra curricular stuff...need I say more...and see if it makes a difference.Time to purge the body anyways.

| | My first instinct is to recommend ice, but that's usually for injury-related swelling. If it's a chronic condition, it's a lot more confusing. |

| I actually have the exact same problem...Upon being hesitant to go to the doctor because I knew something was wrong, I kept putting it off. Finally I just decided to go because it was affected my leg workouts and cardio...So the doctor said i had an inflamed anchiles.
Ice only works for me before I go to bed....
Some therapies that have made it better... Episom soaks. Overall its not just good for decreasing the swelling, but for muscle ackes too...Super beneficial though.
The other thing that I really liked also was the 2min hot water than 2 min ice cold water...I got these 2 plastic boxes, filled one with boiling water, then the other with ice. Put the foot in for 2 min in the hot water, then 2 min in the cold water.Going back and forth for 20min really does help!
Last but not least, not sure how strong your pain is...but Bengay maximum strength was actually pretty good for me...It actually gives you a really cold tingly feeling which I thought really helped...
Hope this helps... |
