| Greetings everyone!
It's great to be here and to meet you all.
Bodybuilding and lifting weights used to be my lifestyle for over 17 years and I could never imagine that ever changing... until I caught a virus one year that involved me gasping for air while just trying to speak. Within weeks I had lost over 40 pounds and I never did manage to really bounce back from it. I lost my income during this time as well and couldn't continue to workout, as I had also lost my motivation -wondering how something that took me so many years to build up could just vanish in just over one month. This was now 10 years ago and for the first 5 years things were 'normal' yet during these last 5 years I had put on so much weight and had gotten so out of shape that it was disgusting!
I am now in week 11 of 12 of a body transformation challenge and in these 11 weeks I've gone from 230lbs with 30.20% body fat to 215 with 9.14% body fat today! My cholesterol went from 268 to 190 during this transformation too!
I am definately back and look forward to taking my body through new challenges and pushing my true potential.
Being amongst "like-minded" definately helps in so many ways and I look forward to exchanging ideas, suggestions and tips!
At the end of the week I'll be taking my "After" pictures and can show off my results. I am hoping to take the challenge's 2007 Grand Champion title... that has been something I've used to help motivate me throughout these 3 months too.
I'll leave it at that for now and hope you're having a great weekend! Mark |

| Hi there!
Sure, it'd be my pleasure to share whatever I can
The Challenge that I've been taking for these past 3 months is called Body For Life. They have a website www.bodyforlife.com - where you can actually learn more about their challenge, ideas and the hows and why it was put together. They've been doing this challenge now since the late 90s I believe and every year their prizes change. This year each category winner takes home 20,000 USD a home gym, all EAS supplements reimbursed, a 2500 USD EAS gift certificate and a Leather Jacket. (I believe that's all) One person is named Grand Champion will get basically an upgraded package including a 5000 USD EAS Gift Certificate and 50,000 USD prize money!
Body for Life exists around the world. I'm registered with the United States. But as far as I know, the Canadians have a pretty nice one too and each person that sends in their package, automatically gets forwarded into the US challenge as well.
The Challenge itself is based around 6 "balanced" meals per day and a 6-Day workout plan that basically goes Upper Body, High Impact Cardio session, Lower Body, High Impact Cardio, Upper Body....
I began with their workout plan thinking that at some point I would change to something 'better', but it really works good and it's not until now in my final week that I've changed it up some.
The whole program is very sound and they offer assistance in many forms to everyone. I would definately suggest it to anyone that needs some extra motivation to get into great shape!
In November and December they'll be choosing their winners and I really do believe that I stand a good chance of winning something. We'll see though... By December I should have at least heard from them, if I'm in the running.
If you have any questions though, I'll be happy to answer whatever I can. |

| I pinched my back and couldn't exercise much this last week and that really changed my plans A LOT! So I didn't progress any and infact even added a bit more bodyfat since last week... trying to flush water didn't work so well and I didn't even attempt carb-loading or anything like that but I've completed my challenge now and the results are final and done!
For anyone interested I've added a link to my myspace where I have my final journal entry which includes my 'Inner Transformation Essay as well as the entire 12-Week Statistics.

Here is also my challenge Before and After pictures from the front and back.
I've never had any real posing practice or experience, that might have helped but... maybe sometime in the future it'll be necessary again? I'm far from over now!
